I’m Braxtyn! I have attended Southern Lab since the 3rd grade and have taken on many roles and responsibilities. I am a native of Baton Rouge, LA, and 16 years old. I have one sister, Brailyn who also attends Southern Lab, and she currently reigns as the 2024-25 Miss Freshman.

You may ask, why do you want to take on two of the biggest roles in school and how will you handle them both? Here’s how.

From the perspective of a Queen

A queen is not just someone who wears a crown; she is a role model, a symbol of grace, and a representation of excellence. She carries herself with confidence and humility, always striving to uplift those around her. A true queen serves her school and community with dignity, inspiring others to lead, achieve, and dream bigger. Her impact is not measured by the title she holds but by the positive change she creates in the lives of others.

A president is not just someone who holds a title; they are a leader, a visionary, and a voice for the people they serve. A president listens to concerns, takes action, and fosters unity within the student body. They inspire change, encourage growth, and lead by example, ensuring that every student feels heard, valued, and empowered. A true president is committed to progress, fairness, and making decisions that benefit the school as a whole.

Balancing the roles of both Queen and President requires dedication, resilience, and a deep love for my school and its students. As a Queen, I will uplift and inspire with grace, and as a President, I will lead with integrity and purpose. Together, these roles allow me to serve my school in the most impactful way possible.
